Prof. Daniel Cherqui is currently Professor of Surgery at Universite Paris-Sud and Surgical Director of Liver Transplantation at Paul Brousse Hospital in Villejuif-Paris France, home of the largest liver transplantation program in France. He is an internationally renowned expert with a vast personal experience in all aspects of liver transplantation and HPB surgery. He has published extensively and served as Associate Editor for the “Journal of Hepatology”. He is considered one of the pioneers of laparoscopic liver surgery and he performed the first laparoscopic donor hepatectomy for pediatric liver transplantation in 2001. He is the Founding President of the “International Laparoscopic Liver Society”.
