The EIG Inauguration Gala Dinner was held successfully on December the 5th, at the beautiful venue of Ecali Club, bringing together friends and supporters of the Foundation, members of the academia and business scene as well as press representatives.

The event was a chance for the Foundation and Mr. Spyros Giamas, Founder and Chairman, to inform the audience on the vision, activities and future plans as well as show appreciation to the guests for their support and contribution to the goals of EIG.

The event started with short speeches by Mr. Giamas, as well as Dr. Michael Choti, internationally recognised for his work as a surgical oncologist, based in the USA, and member of the scientific committee and Ms.Foteini Papaleonidopoulou, PhD candidate at the Francis Crick Institute, London and EIG scholarship holder and ambassador.

The EIG Gala Dinner initiates the Foundation’s growth phase and strategic expansion, reaching out to existing and potential supporters and donors, so we are able together to fulfil our purpose: financially support exceptional PhD candidates, who conduct research in the field of cancer cure and prevention, and thus provide new talent to the medical research community, while sending a message of hope, determination and belief to the unlimited human potential.
