Eleni Chatzilakou

Eleni’s passion for chemical engineering blossomed early, driven by its promise to translate scientific advancements into tangible biomedical solutions. Equipped with research experiences from respectable institutions such as the Spanish National Research Council and the Hellenic National Centre for Scientific Research, she is currently a PhD Researcher at Imperial College London, where she works on pioneering research initiatives focused on biosensing technologies for skin cancer diagnosis.
Eleni’s academic and research competence is underscored by her affiliations with distinguished organizations like the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Chemical Engineers. She actively contributes to fostering inclusivity in STEM as an engaged member of the Women’s Engineering Society and a committee member at the Women In STEM organization at Imperial College London, leading initiatives to address gender disparities in the field.
